Biography
Jodie Cash (Barcelona, 1990) is one of the most powerful and charismatic voices in Spanish American music. A singer-songwriter, she has country and southern rock in her veins thanks to a privileged musical lineage: she is the daughter of the legendary Los Bombarderos, a key band in the Spanish rock scene during the 1980s and 1990s. She grew up surrounded by guitars and amplifiers, listening to artists like Willie Nelson, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Loretta Lynn from a young age. At seven, she was already singing classics like "Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" at family gatherings with surprising ease.

Her training and early experiences came from several projects that helped her gain experience in live performances: at 17, she debuted with The Old Weekend Band as the second vocalist of a country-rock combo, and shortly after, she fronted The Randles, a rockabilly group with whom she recorded her first album and music video. She later joined The Sparkles, a female doo-wop and rhythm & blues vocal trio, with whom she participated in the recording of the album Girls Are Messin' up My Mind (2014), presented by Juan de Pablos on RNE (Spanish National Radio). That period solidified her skills and was the prelude to her big break: creating her own project.

That project was born in 2015 under the name Jodie Cash Fingers, with a stable band of musicians from various generations. In 2016, her debut album, Rollin' Swingin', was recorded at Forte Music Studios and produced by Micky Forteza. The album blended country rock, classic rock & roll, ballads, instrumental surf, and even rancheras, garnering an enthusiastic reception from both audiences and critics. Media outlets such as Ruta 66 and Popular 1 highlighted the authenticity of her work, giving it notable ratings. The promotional tour included legendary venues such as Apolo and Razzmatazz (Barcelona) and blues and rock festivals throughout Spain and parts of Europe.

In 2018, she was recognized as Best National American Music Artist by the Spanish Line Dance Association, and shortly afterward, she opened for international artists such as Stacie Collins and Sara Lee Guthrie, consolidating her prestige on the American music scene.

In 2020, she released several singles, including "Huella" on Nashville's Gateway Records label, as well as a live album (Sherman Trail Live at El Búho Vol. I), which captured the raw power of her concerts. A year later, she released Mil Noches (2021), her first work in Spanish, in which she incorporated new influences such as rancheras and flamenco, and even covered The Eagles' "Take It Easy" under the title Siempre Libre.

Motherhood marked a new personal and artistic chapter. In 2023, she released the compilation EP Before My Senses, which led to her most recent work: My Senses (2025), recorded with the original lineup of Jodie Cash Fingers. With technical production by Xavi Ollé (Th' Booty Hunters) and artistic production by Myriam Swanson, and featuring collaborations with Rickie Froutchman (lap steel) and Simone Lambregts (violin), the album represents a return to her roots, but with a new sensibility informed by the life experience of motherhood.

Today, Jodie Cash leads a solid band comprised of Jordi "Big Villano" Vila (drums), Xarly Cáneva (bass), Fran Esquiaga (keyboards), Toni Espelta (guitars and backing vocals), and Víctor Fisas (second guitar). Her concerts are pure dynamite: a sonic journey that transports you to the honky-tonks of Nashville or the bars of the southern United States.

Authentic, explosive, and with a voice that encompasses multiple registers, Jodie Cash is today one of the most powerful ambassadors of country and southern rock on the Iberian Peninsula. Each performance is an experience that confirms that American music can sound just as authentic from the heart of Barcelona.
