Kaleo is an Icelandic rock band known for their unique fusion of blues, rock, and folk elements, infused with a haunting, atmospheric edge inspired by their homeland's landscapes. Formed in 2012, the band is led by frontman and vocalist JJ Julius Son, with bassist Daniel Kristjansson, drummer David Antonsson, and guitarist Rubin Pollock. Kaleo’s music gained local attention with their breakout single "Vor í Vaglaskógi," a haunting Icelandic folk cover that showcased their deep roots in traditional melodies and set them apart in the Icelandic music scene.
