Gavà is preparing to celebrate its Festa Major de Sant Pere 2026 with five days of concerts, cultural activities and popular traditions that will fill the city's streets and squares from June 25 to 29. This year's edition places music at the heart of the programme, combining major touring artists with emerging local bands and community-driven events.
The biggest musical attraction will be Macaco, who will perform on June 26 at Plaça de Francesc Macià as part of his Futuro Ancestral tour. Known for blending rumba, reggae, funk and Latin influences, the Barcelona-born artist is expected to draw one of the largest crowds of the festival. The concert will be followed by DJ sets from Edgarituu and Aulet, extending the celebrations into the early hours.
Music lovers will also find plenty to enjoy across the city. The opening night on June 25 will feature local rock band BarBoots, while June 26 will bring swing and jump-blues sounds from The Hot Swing Machine in the gardens of Torre Lluc. Later that evening, the Marc Grau Auditorium will showcase local acts including Sektum, TH' Booty Hunters and Chaqueta de Chándal, highlighting the diversity of Gavà's music scene.
On June 27, the programme continues with Estela i els Miralls, an emerging Baix Llobregat pop group, before one of the most anticipated performances of the festival. Earlier that evening, the Marc Grau Auditorium will host the 23rd Tullianos Convention, an annual gathering organised by the Spanish Jethro Tull fan association. The event will feature performances by Cristóbal Vergara, Javier Sánchez, Acid Sierra, Sal 150, Jethro Sur and Tony Williams, bringing together musicians and followers of the legendary British progressive rock band for one of the most distinctive events of the festival.
Later that night, La Ludwig Band will take the stage at Plaça de Francesc Macià with their distinctive blend of sharp songwriting, irony and contemporary Catalan folk-rock. The concert will be followed by DJs Queralt and Breaking Brains. Earlier in the day, the city will also host the Street Fest, a youth-focused event combining urban sports, dance and live music.
Traditional celebrations remain a central part of the Festa Major. The programme includes sardanas, castellers, giant figures, water parades, drumming processions and the popular Xerinolis celebrations. The fire events on June 27 will once again be among the most spectacular moments of the festival, with children's and adult correfocs bringing dozens of groups through the city centre in a display of music, sparks and tradition.
The festivities will conclude on June 29 with a traditional havaneres concert by the local group Gats Vells at Torre Lluc Park. Together with family activities, exhibitions, sporting events and community gatherings, the closing performance will bring to an end a Festa Major that aims to combine culture, music and local identity while offering activities for all ages throughout the city.
