Music will once again play a major role in the Festa Major de Viladecans 2026, with concerts and parties taking over the city’s parks and squares in September. The programme will be divided between four of its main musical spaces — Parc de la Marina, Parc del Torrent Ballester, Jardins de Magdalena Modolell and Plaça d’Europa — offering everything from current pop and electronic music to veteran Spanish rock, Catalan rumba, indie, jazz and havaneres.
One of the main attractions will be the FM Jove at Parc de la Marina, where La La Love You will bring their energetic pop-rock and collection of festival-ready anthems to Viladecans. The Madrid band will be joined by Barcelona artist Mama Dousha, whose music combines contemporary pop, urban influences and electronic sounds. The park will also host the return of the Festa Flaix FM, with its live electronic show, while several DJ sessions will keep the celebrations going until well into the early hours.
Los Manolos and Rafa Sánchez bring classic hits to Torrent Ballester
The Parc del Torrent Ballester will offer a more nostalgic but equally festive programme, led by Los Manolos and Rafa Sánchez. Los Manolos will return with the Catalan rumba that made them one of the defining musical groups of Barcelona's Olympic era, more than three decades after their songs became synonymous with the celebrations surrounding the 1992 Games. Rafa Sánchez, meanwhile, will revisit the repertoire associated with La Unión, the band he fronted for decades and one of the best-known names in Spanish pop-rock of the 1980s and 1990s.
Tribute bands will also have an important place at Torrent Ballester. Born To Band will perform a show dedicated to the music of Bruce Springsteen, while El Último Tributo will revisit songs by El Último de la Fila. The programme at the park will be rounded out by the party show Loco Bongo and DJ sessions extending the music into the night.
Anni B. Sweet and Ivette Nadal at the Ocellets Festival
Alternative and independent music will return to the Jardins de Magdalena Modolell with a new edition of the Ocellets Festival, one of the Festa Major's main meeting points for music fans looking beyond the larger mainstream concerts. This year's programme is headed by Anni B. Sweet, one of the most established artists on the Spanish indie scene, alongside Catalan singer-songwriter Ivette Nadal.
The festival will also showcase newer and local talent through performances by Martina Noguera and Bons Nois. The local scene will receive an additional platform with the Zoom! Perifèrica Talent Show, organised by the association of local musicians and designed to give emerging performers from Viladecans an opportunity to take the stage during the Festa Major.
Havaneres, jazz and orchestra music at Plaça d’Europa
The musical programme will also cater for audiences looking for the more traditional side of a Catalan festa major. Plaça d’Europa will host the customary performance of havaneres, alongside a dance with Orquestra Montecarlo and a concert by Rumblin' Jazz Band, adding jazz to an already diverse programme spread throughout the city.
Music will not be limited to the main outdoor stages either. As part of the Festa Major programme, performances will also reach residences for elderly people and Hospital de Viladecans, allowing people who cannot attend the main celebrations to share in the festivities.
