Music will be one of the central attractions of the Festa Major de Ripollet 2026, which offers more than one hundred activities and places particular emphasis on local organisations and artists. Concerts, DJ sessions, traditional music and parties will be spread across venues including Espai Brollador at Parc dels Pinetons, Espai Jove Ginesta, Parc de Gassó Vargas, Plaça de Joan Abad and the Centre Cultural.
The programme actually gets underway before the official weekend, with La Prèvia on Thursday, August 27 at Espai Jove Ginesta, featuring El Persianas & Los Influencers Muertos, Rudymentari and DJ Keyzz. From Friday onwards, however, the musical programme expands considerably, with several concerts taking place simultaneously around the city.
Ripollet Rock brings international metal to the Festa Major — for free
One of the clear highlights arrives on Friday, August 28, with the 33rd Ripollet Rock Festival, a long-running event that has turned Ripollet into an annual meeting point for heavy metal fans. Even better, Ripollet Rock is free, making a bill of this calibre particularly noteworthy.
The festival starts at 21:00 at Espai Brollador, with doors opening at 20:30. Italian symphonic power metal veterans Rhapsody Of Fire top an international line-up that also includes German gothic and industrial metal band Crematory and melodic metal supergroup Serious Black, whose members come from Germany, Austria and Serbia. Spanish metal is represented by Murcia's Headon, while Leyendärian, from the Ripollet/Barcelona scene, adds a local presence to the bill.
Ripollet Rock will not be the only option on Friday night. RetroWatts will perform at Plaça d'Emma Maleras, while the Festival Flamenc at Plaça de Joan Abad will feature Lolo de Jerez, Melchora Ortega and Juan Gabarre, among others. Espai Jove Ginesta will meanwhile host its Festa Jove, with Zayas at 23:00, Sagen i Valknut at midnight and Anna Gisbert at 01:00.
Efecto Pasillo and Maruja Limón on Saturday night
The Espai Brollador changes musical direction on Saturday, August 29. Efecto Pasillo will open the main night programme at 22:00 with their upbeat mixture of pop, rock, funk and Latin rhythms. At midnight it will be the turn of Maruja Limón, followed by La Condesa at 01:30.
Elsewhere in Ripollet, Saturday offers an unusually broad selection of styles. Sláinte will perform Celtic music at the Centre Cultural, while Parc de Gassó Vargas hosts Roof Bandits, Las Marikarmen and several DJ sets. Va Parir Tour by Ràdio Flaixbac will take over Espai Jove Ginesta from 23:00 to 03:00, and the night also includes Hola, Raffaella, a tribute concert to Raffaella Carrà at Plaça de Joan Abad.
Doctor Prats and Al·lèrgiques al Pol·len on Sunday
Sunday, August 30 brings another of the strongest nights at Espai Brollador. Doctor Prats will take the stage at 22:00, bringing the Terrassa band's characteristic mixture of pop, electronic music and festival rhythms to Ripollet. At midnight, Al·lèrgiques al Pol·len will continue the night before Mon DJ closes the programme from 01:30.
Traditional Festa Major music will also have a significant presence during the day. La Principal de la Bisbal will perform sardanes at 18:30 before giving a Festa Major concert at Plaça de Joan Abad at 20:30 and returning at midnight for the traditional dance. Espai Jove Ginesta, meanwhile, will offer another late-night alternative with Katalan's Hottest Party, PD Fat Boy and PD Lady Viking.
The more intimate Mercat de la Vinya programme adds another musical dimension to the weekend. Among its concerts are Solo Ellas and the rhythm & blues project Wax & Boogie, featuring Ster Wax and David Giorcelli, while on Sunday Júlia Colom, winner of the 2026 Enderrock award for best singer-songwriter pop album, will perform at Plaça d'en Clos.
Los 80 Principales and DJ Bulma Beat close the Festa Major
The final day, Monday, August 31, combines traditional and contemporary music before the Festa Major comes to an end. Mar i Vent will perform havaneres at Plaça de Joan Abad at 20:00, while Orquestra Choffers will provide the music for the veteran confetti celebration on Rambla de Sant Jordi.
After the fireworks at Parc dels Pinetons, the final big party will begin at 23:00 at Espai Brollador. Los 80 Principales (Los 80P) will open the Ball de Confetti, followed by DJ Bulma Beat at 00:30 and a closing B2B session from DJ Natura and Charly B at 02:00.
